Munich, Germany

Actively Hiring

$4M•Seed•Sep 24, 2026

Munich-based Kontext is building a runtime security platform that helps organisations see and control what AI agents do. The system evaluates agent activity against security policies and risk signals in real time, giving teams a clearer way to manage automated actions as adoption grows. The startup has raised $4 million in seed funding led by 42CAP, with participation from a16z CSX and HTGF. Kontext was founded by Jens Ernstberger and Michel Osswald, who are developing the platform for organisations that need tighter oversight of AI-driven workflows. Kontext can observe an agent’s activity and assess whether an action is permitted before it happens. When enforcement is enabled, the platform can block unauthorised actions before execution, while maintaining an auditable record of the decisions made along the way. The company will use the funding to expand its engineering team and continue developing its runtime enforcement platform. It also plans to support customers deploying AI agents with greater control and visibility, alongside broader go-to-market work.
